Architect

Hamish joined the practice in 2015, and has since taken a lead role within a number of projects, ranging in scale, across a broad range of sectors – including community initiatives, residential developments, commercial/leisure buildings, rejuvenation & master plan strategies, and healthcare facilities for the NHS. His projects range in value from just a few thousand pounds to developments of over £20 million.

Beyond this experience, Hamish acts as an Employee Representative and Trustee Director within the EOT Board.

Hamish has a particular enjoyment and talent for architectural drawing and has received success in this aspect internationally. Notably, Hamish has exhibited multiple times at the Royal Scottish Academy and has been both a Winner (2021) and Finalist (2018) at the American Institute of Architects’ Ken Roberts Memorial Delineation Competition – the world’s longest running architectural drawing contest.

Conscious to prevent a rigid mindset, Hamish has a keen interest in seeking inspiration from different building practices around the world – from simply attending design exhibitions abroad, to working with bamboo in the Balinese jungle – he is always on the lookout for new ideas to enhance his skills with.

Away from the computer screen, Hamish enjoys donning his wetsuit and flippers to explore the underwater coastline of the cold North Sea.
