Stewart Davidson

Stewart’s journey began at Scott Sutherland School of Architecture, Aberdeen where he earned an honours degree and Diploma in Architecture, gaining his RIBA qualification in 1981. He set up his practice in 1985, soon expanding to become recognised for his design ability and professional approach. Over almost 40 years in the profession, Stewart brings valuable experience and commitment to further develop CSY Architects in both Architecture and interior design.

Stewart and his team have achieved multiple UK Interior Design awards, gaining him a prestigious reputation and an extensive client base across the UK. This experience is valuable, allowing the whole team to develop and innovate design solutions for architectural projects. In his practice, Stewart personally encourages new talent in the profession, mentoring newly qualified staff, advancing design & technical standards, to give back to the profession.

Stewart always combines enthusiasm with his commitment to providing a professional and high-level service to clients. Using his exceptional skillset, Stewart continues to promote design conscious contributions to clients and the community. Stewart’s expertise spans a wide range of projects including residential, commercial and interior design commissions. He brings this drive and ambition to the team at CSY Architects. Creating and managing the design process for clients from the smallest projects to larger multi-million-pound commissions has been important to Stewart over the years in fostering long lasting relationships.

Outside work Stewart enjoys keeping fit and active, maintaining an interest in motor sport, and most importantly, taking the dog for long walks in the countryside. Having two grown-up daughters also always keeps Stewart grounded. Stewart is an avid supporter of Raith Rovers FC, which has at times been challenging , but has created valuable memories.
