Construction Stage

A proposal for Kirkhope Steading seeks to restore and convert the existing Kirkhope steadings, converting the buildings into contemporary residential and workings units. Taking on board the pre-application discussions with the local authority, the proposed architectural moves retain the external appearance and the local identity of the buildings and their surroundings. The alterations respect the character, materials, and scale of the existing fabric and enable it to meet twenty-first century standards for contemporary family living and working. The new builds houses relate to the existing buildings and create new affordable housing for the Ettrick Valley community.
