Futureproof Conversion | Scottish Borders

We are delighted to be applying future-proofing and accessibility principles to this rural conversion project in the Scottish Borders.

A disused agricultural building will be regenerated and extended to form a two storey house.  The contemporary addition is designed to complement and celebrate the existing textures, showing that design need not be compromised to enable a financially viable development.  The building layout has been configured to allow for changing needs over time, with interchangeable functions meaning the house can have between two and four bedrooms.

The layout is ideal for a young family, but enables flexibility as children grow up and for continued use into the owner’s senior years.

We are looking forward to taking the project forward, ensuring protection of the building’s character, whilst looking to the future.
