CSYArchitects are currently seeking Project Architects (3+ years qualified).
Offices: Dalkeith, Galashiels and Berwick.
Full or part-time. Salary negotiable.
Experienced and ambitious Project Architects are sought to join our growing team to manage the design and delivery of projects across a range of sectors, including; high-quality domestic, affordable housing, commercial development, conservation and community projects. The practice provides a personal service to communities from three bases in SE Scotland and NE England, with a combination of in-office and at-home working.
Camerons Strachan Yuill is the new trading name of the practices formerly known as Bain Swan Architects LLP, Douglas Strachan Ltd and Camerons Ltd. These were combined in 2020 to form an experienced and passionate team, with the capacity to deliver across a range of scales and sectors. This team owns the majority of the merged practice through an Employee Ownership Trust and it is led by two Managing Directors; Gavin Yuill and Douglas Strachan. Reflecting our shared history and interest in serving local communities, we continue to operate from three geographical locations, with our collective expertise also allowing us to work on larger projects nationally. We all enjoy working together, collaborating on projects and on the evolution of the practice itself. This includes the ongoing development of systems, including the adoption of BIM at all scales.
We are keen to enhance our existing team with more Project Architects, who will be involved in every project stage, from initial enquiries and securing of work, to design and delivery. The Project Architects will take responsibility for and manage their own projects, as well as collaborate with other members of our team. Knowledge and experience of Revit will be an advantage.
The transition to employee ownership of the practice is representative of an ethos of shared endeavour for the team.
